What Happens in Vegas?
While most of the jewelry I sell with Zwikker & Zacher is manufactured here in New York, some of it is imported from all over the world, including India and the Far East. There are several major jewelry buying shows in Hong Kong, Tuscon, New York, Miami, and more. Going to the shows is a great way to get to know different jewelers and inspect pieces first-hand to make sure they meet our high quality standards. This weekend, I am off to a huge show in Las Vegas organized by Jewelers' Circular Keystone, a major jewelry industry trade publication.
The show boasts more than 2,500 participating companies and according to JCK Las Vegas,
"It's the best place to build and sustain relationships with all of the major suppliers as well as source the largest selection of jewelry, gems, timepieces and product line launches."For me, that means scouting out new trends, meeting new jewelers, and most importantly: miles and miles of jewelry for sale (for registered eligible retail buyers like me). I will be doing a lot of browsing and also some buying for upcoming trunk shows. I will still be available for all your jewelry needs while I am in Las Vegas since I am used to working from home--even if Thursday to Tuesday home will be The Wynn!
